How we protect your data

Your photos and videos are private. Here’s exactly how we keep them safe.

All photos and videos uploaded to Megatech Photos are end-to-end encrypted on your device before they leave it.

This means your files are encrypted using keys that only you control. We store only encrypted data on our servers, we do not hold your decryption keys and cannot access the contents of your files.

Data is also encrypted in transit using TLS to protect against interception during transfer.

Files uploaded to Megatech photos are securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States.

To improve speed and reliability, certain content may be temporarily cached through a global content delivery network with edge locations in regions such as Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and Australia.

This helps ensure your photos and videos load quickly and remain accessible wherever you are.

Your files belong to you.

Only you can access the photos and videos stored in your account unless you choose to share them.

Megatech photos does not publicly expose your files or allow other users to access them.

System administrators have no technical ability to access the contents of your files.

Because your files are encrypted on your device before upload using AES-256-GCM, and we never hold your decryption keys, it is cryptographically impossible for anyone at Megatech Photos, including engineers and administrators, to view or read your photos and videos.

Access to internal systems is restricted and used only for maintaining account-level infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, or complying with legal obligations.

None of these activities involve or permit access to your encrypted file contents.

When required by law, we can provide account-level information and metadata (such as email addresses, IP logs, and timestamps) but not the encrypted contents of your files.

Storage systems are designed with redundancy to help protect against data loss.

Backup mechanisms and infrastructure safeguards help ensure that your photos and videos remain available even in the event of server failures.

Megatech Photos is funded through paid subscriptions from users who upgrade their storage plans.

We do not rely on advertising, tracking, or selling user data.

This aligns our incentives with users: we only succeed if users trust us to securely store their data over the long term.

Your data belongs to you. You can export your files at any time.

If Megatech Photos were to shut down, we would provide advance notice and a reasonable period (at least 90 days where possible) for users to export their data.

Because your files are encrypted using keys derived from your password, you retain control over access to your data.

Megatech Photos is designed with privacy as a core principle.

Your photos and videos are end-to-end encrypted, meaning we do not have the technical ability to view, scan, sell, or share the contents of your files with anyone, including advertisers, third parties, or our own staff.

Your files are only accessible by you, using your encryption keys, unless you choose to share them.
